Sacra/Profana (composers including Ernst Krenek, Prince, and Danny Elfman), and records video game music with Folklore Guild (featured on Tribute Album 64 for Nintendo’s Dire Dire Docks). She was a NATS competition first place winner (adult division) and a recent solo highlight was performing in front of the San Diego Symphony as Maria in “Video Games Live” Final Fantasy Opera “Maria and Draco” for Summer Pops conducted by Arnie Roth with Sacra/Profana (pictured at right).
Soprano April Fisher holds a bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages from Colorado College, where she discovered opera when cast as Amor in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.  An ongoing passion for languages led to 5 years living abroad: in Switzerland, where she sang with the Geneva Amateur Operatic Society,  in Japan which included such diverse experiences as headlining a cover band and leading the soprano section for Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, in Italy for intense language, operatic music, and singing studies under Ester Castriota of the Conservatorio di Firenze, Elizabeth Chard of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentina, and Bianca Bernini of Teatro alla Scala.  Now settled in San Diego, April currently sings with San Diego Opera Chorus (2017’s Falstaff was her 20th production), is a core member of contemporary a capella group
